Our target
The website is being developed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as the target standard. Accessibility is an ongoing process involving design, development, content review and user feedback.
Accessibility features
- Mobile-first responsive layouts and readable text scaling.
- A skip link that allows keyboard users to move directly to the main content.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels and descriptive link text.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, accordions, sliders and the automated assistant.
- Visible focus indicators and appropriately sized interactive targets.
- Alternative text for informative images and empty alternative text for decorative images.
- A pause control for the rotating hero slider.
- Reduced animation when a device has “reduce motion” enabled.
- Form labels, required-field indicators, status messages and error feedback.
Known limitations
Third-party tools, embedded services or documents supplied by external parties may not always provide the same level of accessibility as the core website. GT-ARAZAJ should evaluate new integrations before launch and provide an alternative method of access where reasonably possible.
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, identify the page, the feature involved, the device or assistive technology used and the format that would work better. Submit the details through the Contact page or call +233 (0) 24 474 9700.
Ongoing review
Accessibility should be checked whenever content, navigation, forms, colours, documents or third-party services are changed. Automated tests are helpful but should be supplemented by keyboard testing, screen-reader review and human evaluation.
